Limón, Costa Rica

Limón covers the entire Caribbean coast of Costa Rica — from the canal network of Tortuguero National Park in the north to the Afro-Caribbean town of Puerto Viejo and the Cahuita reef in the south. Tortuguero is accessible only by boat or small plane; its jungle canals hold the same wildlife density as the Amazon — caimans, river otters, manatees, and four monkey species.
